At MWC26 (Barcelona, Spain), RAMO Lab (led by Prof. Seong-Lyun Kim) demonstrated cutting-edge next-generation network technologies developed under the support of the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Key Highlights:
LLM-based Antenna Management: In collaboration with SUTD (Singapore) and Viavi, the lab demonstrated technology where AI autonomously judges real-time situations to efficiently control antennas.
Performance: By applying LLM technology (typically used in models like ChatGPT) to base station and antenna management, the system predicts network states in real-time to actively determine beamforming directions. This model demonstrated superior efficiency and stability compared to existing reinforcement learning-based AI models in irregular environments.
Global Exhibition: These research achievements were prominently featured at the 'AI-RAN Alliance' booth, alongside global AI leaders such as NVIDIA and Softbank.
