On December 5, 2025, the AI-RAN Summit 2025 was held at Yonsei University’s Baekyangnuri Grand Hall. Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), AINA, Yonsei University, and leading research project teams, the summit marked a significant turning point for global industry-academia-research collaboration in the dawn of the 6G and AI transformation era.

The summit emphasized the evolution of the telecommunications industry into a vital infrastructure for the future AI industry, building on the 6G trends and AI value propositions discussed at the "2024 Brooklyn 6G Summit." A key highlight of the event was the 6GARROW project, which presented its AI-Native approach in close alignment with the strategic importance of AI-RAN. The project shared its research vision and technical direction with a global audience, reinforcing its position at the forefront of next-generation networking.

Following the recent MOU between South Korean leaders (Samsung Electronics, the three major mobile carriers, ETRI, and Yonsei University) and NVIDIA, the event featured a prestigious lineup of speakers:

  • Industry Leaders: Representatives from NVIDIA, Ericsson, Nokia, VIAVI, and DeepSig discussed the evolution of AI-RAN, digital twins, and global 6G initiatives.

  • Academic Excellence: Scholars from SUTD, HKU, HKUST, Aalto University, POSTECH, CEA-Leti, and Yonsei University explored emerging technical trends, including semantic communications and AI-RAN architectures.

  • Strategic Discussions: Domestic industry sessions with KT, SKT, LG U+, and Samsung, followed by an in-depth panel discussion led by Professor Seong-Lyun Kim, focused on the vision for AI-integrated infrastructure and strategies to vitalize the AI-RAN ecosystem.

Through this summit, the 6GARROW project and its collaborators have successfully established a foundation for creating new industrial value through AI-RAN, the core technology of the 6G era.
